The stateless association in Germany has launched an international community campaign dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons, which was adopted on September 28, 1954.

Campaign Overview:

This campaign aims to highlight the ongoing struggles faced by stateless individuals worldwide and emphasize that human rights should be extended to everyone, not just citizens. Despite the adoption of the 1954 Convention, millions of people remain stateless, lacking access to fundamental rights and recognition.

Campaign Goals:

  • Raise Awareness: Shed light on the injustices faced by stateless people.
  • Build Solidarity: Foster a sense of community and support for stateless individuals.
  • Advocate for Change: Encourage dialogue and action to address and rectify statelessness.

Participation:

The campaign will feature “70 Stateless Voices” from around the world, sharing their stories through various formats such as text, video, and photo.
